Ride-Hailing Apps
PassApp (Recommended)
Cambodia's homegrown ride-hailing app — cheaper than Grab for most rides.
- Pricing: ~3,000 riel pickup + 1,000 riel/km
- Vehicles: Tuk-tuk, car, SUV
- Catch: Requires a Cambodian phone number to register. Get your SIM card first!
- Available in: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville, Kampot
- Download: Google Play · App Store
Grab
Works with international phone numbers — your fallback before getting a local SIM.
- Pricing: Higher than PassApp but transparent
- Available in: Phnom Penh, Siem Reap
- Vehicles: Bike, tuk-tuk, car
- Download: Google Play · App Store
Tuk-Tuks
The iconic Cambodian transport. If not using an app, always negotiate the price before getting in.
See our Fair Price Guide for reference prices by route.
Tip: Drivers outside tourist attractions quote inflated prices. Walk 50 meters away and flag one passing by — you'll get a much better rate.

Domestic Flights

Road Safety
Cambodia has one of the highest traffic fatality rates in Southeast Asia. Be cautious:
- Always wear a helmet if riding a motorbike
- Avoid driving at night outside cities
- Drunk driving is common, especially around holidays
- If renting a motorbike, ensure you have valid travel insurance that covers motorbike accidents
